This Privacy Policy explains how PandaGo collects and uses data from our driver-partners. By using the PandaDriver app, you agree to the practices described here.
Important: PandaDriver collects Background Location Data even when the app is closed or not in use to enable ride dispatching and safety tracking.
1. Information We Collect
- Professional Identification: Full name, National ID (NIDA), Driver’s License details, and vehicle registration documents.
- Background Location: We track your device location continuously while you are "Online" to match you with nearby riders and provide navigation.
- Financial Information: Bank account numbers or mobile money details to process your earnings.
- Vehicle Information: Make, model, year, license plate, and photos of your motorcycle, bajaj, or car.
- Safety Data: Telemetry data including speed, braking patterns, and acceleration to ensure road safety.
2. Use of Background Location
PandaDriver requires access to your location in the background to:
- Identify when you are the closest available driver for a request.
- Allow riders to see your arrival progress.
- Calculate accurate trip distances for fair payment.
- Provide emergency assistance if a safety incident occurs.
3. Data Sharing
We share your data with:
- Riders: Your name, photo, vehicle details, and real-time location.
- Authorities: We may share data with the TCRA or police if required by Tanzanian law for investigations.
- Payment Processors: To facilitate the transfer of your weekly earnings.
4. Data Retention & Your Rights
In accordance with the Tanzanian PDPA, you have the right to access your data, request corrections, or ask for account deletion. We retain your data as long as your account is active or as required for tax and legal compliance.
5. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and stored securely on our cloud servers. Sensitive documents are protected by strict access controls.
